Print PDFWhen an associate starts at Moore & Van Allen, the firm generally assigns two mentors as well as a contact hiring partner. The mentors, one a member and the other an associate, help regulate work flow while also helping the new associate integrate into Moore & Van Allen and guiding professional development.
The Litigation practice follows a more formal Core Competency Program. This program is designed to assist litigation associates and their respective mentors in developing associates’ basic or “Core Competencies,” the mastery of which makes a successful trial lawyer. Experienced members of the litigation team use the program as a tool to guide associates, document each associate’s progress and identify gaps in the associate’s experiences and skill set
