Full time, entry level position on our Commercial Real Estate team, for candidates who possibly have an interest in attending law school within the next few years, to work as a paralegal assistant. Responsibilities include organizing and processing documents, preparing binders, indexing files, etc., Bachelor degree required.

Finance Paralegal

Successful candidate will be an enthusiastic self-starter and possess a Bachelor degree and/or paralegal certificate. Must have the ability and experience to organize and control related documents; draft and/or prepare ancillary documents related to the closing of transactional deals (financing statements, signature pages for loan documents, certificates); prepare closing checklists; prepare UCC filings. Must have knowledge of Revised Article 9 and UCC financing statements including the ability to prepare statements. Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office software. This is a full-time position requiring overtime as needed.

Network Engineer
This full time position on our Information Services team monitors all servers and network devices for normal operation. Performs periodic maintenance on all systems. Responsible for data and operating system backups as well as rotation of tapes. Responsible for specific project assignments. Provides assistance as needed to Applications Group and End-Users. Stays up to date on latest technologies, troubleshooting techniques and products. Successful candidate will possess a high school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred, with 4+ years of experience in LAN administration, monitoring and/or troubleshooting. An upper-level server operating system certification (MCSE,CCNA,VCP etc) is preferred. Must also have in depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, PC and server hardware, UNIX, Linux or other similar operating systems, and Microsoft SQL database servers. Cisco, SAN and Vmware experience a plus. Position will require occasional travel to other firm offices with overnight stays and, as needed, more than 40 hours per week to accomplish essential duties.

Patent Agent

We are currently searching for BSME or BSEE graduates to train as Patent Agents in our Charlotte, NC office.Successful candidates will be graduates who have excelled academically, have excellent writing, communication and people skills.Also must have excellent time management skills and be effective at working both independently and on project teams. The successful candidates will also be expected to take and pass the examination administered by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for patent attorneys/agents.Day to day responsibilities will include analyzing technical publications and drafting patent applications.More than 40 hours per week may be required to accomplish the essential functions of the position.We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package to the right individuals.
