Fall Employment Seminar Focuses on Two Hot Topics

Avoiding wage & hour pitfalls and more
Fall 2007
Charlotte, Charleston, Research Triangle

MVA’s Labor & Employment team shared strategies and suggestions related to wage and hour collective actions and electronic information at this year’s annual Employment Update seminar.  The discussion focused on how to avoid common wage and hour pitfalls, prepare for a collective action lawsuit and manage electronic records.

To keep clients and prospects up-to-date on other hot topics, they also had a panel discussion on the latest developments in the labor and employment field, such as; the recent spate of claims for breach of fiduciary duty under ERISA, the battle in Congress over the recent United States Supreme Court decision clarifying the timeliness of pay discrimination claims, and the new categories and requirements applicable to EEO-1 Form reporting.  The series of Employment Update seminars kicked off in Charlotte in late September and continued on October 18 in Charleston, SC and October 23 in Research Triangle, NC.
