Wheeler Goes to "Trial" at American Bankruptcy Institute Conference

Charleston Bankruptcy Member Dave Wheeler participated in the “Fraudulent Conveyance Litigation from Soup to Nuts” mock trial on November 8 before the Honorable Joy Flowers Conti (U.S. District Court (W.D., Pa.), the Honorable Barbara J. Houser (U.S. Bankruptcy Court (N.D. Tex.), and the Honorable Barry Russell (U.S. Bankruptcy Court (C.D. Cal.). Charleston Attorney Reid Dyer assisted Wheeler in the preparation of the mock hearing. 

The program was a component of the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Winter Leadership Conference in Tucson, Arizona. It involved the numerous procedural and substantive issues associated with conveyance litigation brought by an estate representative, including Stern v. Marshall jurisdictional issues, Twombly and Iqbal and other issues.
