Holiday Travel Advisory: Plan Ahead for Visa Issuance

The holiday season can be a hectic time for international travel.  In particular, Consulates are exceptionally busy due to the higher volume of visa applicants, limited consular staff, and office closures for U.S. and local holidays.  The best way to alleviate some of the holiday travel stress is by planning ahead.

As a reminder, any foreign national who travels outside the U.S. must have a valid visa for return.  The usual process for obtaining a visa requires the applicant to have a scheduled interview appointment and personally appear at the U.S. Consulate abroad to submit their documents.  Since most Consulates have already released November and December appointment dates, a foreign national who needs to visa process during holiday travel is highly encouraged to secure the interview appointment date now.

Our office is happy to assist any foreign national employee with securing a visa interview date and preparing the necessary documents.  Please contact a member of the MVA Immigration Team to discuss any upcoming travel or the necessary documents for return.
