This issue includes information regarding results from Tuesday’s primary runoff races for Republican candidate for Lieutenant Governor, Republican and Democrat candidates for State Superintendent of Education, and Democrat South Carolina House of Representatives District 54 for the general election in November.

Primary Election Results

McMaster bests Campbell in GOP runoff for lieutenant governor

Former S.C. Attorney General Henry McMaster soundly defeated Mike Campbell, son of the late GOP icon and S.C. governor, in Tuesday’s Republican Party runoff for lieutenant governor.  Read more here.

Molly Spearman, Tom Thompson to battle for SC superintendent of education

Republican Molly Spearman and Democrat Tom Thompson won landslide victories in their party runoffs Tuesday for S.C. superintendent of education.  Read more here.
