McGinnis Panelist for 2019 Charlotte-Metro ISSA Summit

Charlotte Privacy & Data Security Member Karin McGinnis served as a panelist for the 2019 ISSA Conference: How the Changing Privacy Law Landscape Impacts Information Security Professionals that was held May 2 at the Charlotte Convention Center. Other panelists include Steve Snyder of Bradley Arant and Katie Klibert of Kliebert Law.  The panelists discussed specifically the impacts of the expanding definition of personal information, the expanding obligations to maintain reasonable security measures and the expanding rights of data subjects.

About the event

This day-long event is designed to provide a forum in which industry leaders, policy makers, and regional peers can share information regarding emerging technologies, trends, and best practices within Information Security and related fields.
