Litigation Member Receives Ayscue Professionalism Award

Charlotte Litigation Member George V. Hanna III received the Mecklenburg County Bar and Foundation’s 2014-2015 Ayscue Professionalism Award.  The award is presented to a current or former member of the Mecklenburg County Bar annually to recognize exemplary professionalism.

“George’s professionalism makes him a leader in both action and word.  He is motivated by a belief that with the benefits he has received from a legal education and a successful law practice comes an obligation to serve.  George is recognized within Moore & Van Allen and beyond, for exemplifying the traits of professionalism that all attorneys should aspire to represent,” stated Moore & Van Allen Member and Public Service Committee Chairman Brian Heslin.

Hanna was formally presented with the Ayscue Professionalism Award at the Mecklenburg County Bar’s Law and Society Luncheon in November.  Photos from the luncheon and award presentation can be seen here

Ayscue Award criteria may include:  outstanding service through or on behalf of the Mecklenburg County Bar or the Mecklenburg Bar Foundation; substantial service to the community, Bar, or justice system; and embodiment of the traits to which all attorneys should aspire, such as high ethical standards, model conduct, unquestioned integrity, and consistent competence.
