Trademark & Copyright
Print PDFMoore & Van Allen’s trademark and copyright team provides a full range of trademark services which include brand counseling and trademark strategy, trademark searches and registrability opinions, trademark prosecution, policing of marks, oppositions and cancellations of competing marks, and due diligence. Our team also provides complete copyright services, including counseling, registration, licensing and due diligence.
In addition, we maintain a sophisticated trademark management system that tracks prosecution and maintenance deadlines, currently managing more than 4,000 registered domestic and foreign marks on behalf of our clients with nearly 1,000 pending domestic and foreign applications. We also make use of highly rated independent screening, search and investigative resources, where appropriate.
Trademark Prosecution
Our attorneys and staff handle the entire trademark process from filing applications, responding to office actions, and defending against oppositions, through to registration and beyond by maintenance of registered marks. Further, we assist clients in developing a trademark strategy which is tailored to their needs for protection, determining which marks would be best suited for registration.
International
To benefit and best serve those clients with international interests and needs, we leverage our ongoing working relationships with highly qualified intellectual property practitioners and agents in virtually every country in the world. As a result, we have significant experience in the European Union and its member countries, virtually every country in the Americas, China, India and most other Pacific Rim and Asian countries. We have prosecuted foreign applications in individual foreign nations and also through the Madrid Protocol and Community Trademark systems.
