A former North Carolina Assistant Attorney General handling state employment and civil rights matters, Dick Kane provides diverse employers a full range of sophisticated labor and employment law services, including labor-organizing counsel and employment class-action defense.

He possesses extensive experience in advising management on issues associated with union organizing activity, and has engaged in collective bargaining on behalf of companies involved in initial contract negotiations as well as contract renewals.  Additionally, Mr. Kane has represented companies before the National Labor Relations Board and various Federal Circuit Courts throughout the United States.

Further, Mr. Kane has defended numerous companies in class-action litigation under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as well as in collective actions under the Fair Labor Standards Act.  He has represented companies in litigation brought under the ADEA, ADA, Title VII, and various other statutory rights and common law claims.  In addition, he regularly advises companies during affirmative-action compliance reviews conducted by the Office of Federal Contract Compliance. 

Mr. Kane has practiced in multiple jurisdictions throughout the country.
