Kerry M. F. Lindauer
Kerry Lindauer's diverse practice includes taxation and business law representation for clients in various industries, including manufacturing, service, transportation, retail and energy. She represents her client's overall tax position at all judicial levels, taking a long-term approach to meeting client needs with respect to tax planning, controversy and strategies pertaining to federal and state tax issues.
Specifically, Ms. Lindauer's taxation counsel covers:
- Federal & state income tax, including asset capitalization and mergers and acquisitions
- Sales and use tax
- Property tax
A skilled negotiator, Ms. Lindauer works with state and local governments and business leaders to construct attractive economic development tax incentive programs for her business clients, including local development grants, multi-county business part participation, tax increment financing, corporate headquarters credits, infrastructure credits, property tax abatements, pollution control equipment and facilities exemptions and job development credits. Ms. Lindauer also has been successful pursuing legislation changes to suit the economic development needs of her clients.
Within her business practice, Ms. Lindauer drafts, reviews, and amends agreements covering various general business transactions, focusing on specific issues that could be problematic for her clients from a tax perspective.
Within the area of sports law, Ms. Lindauer guides attorneys and individuals in analyzing and interpreting the policies and regulations set forth by the National Collegiate Athletics Association.
