    A former engineer with more than 20 years experience in intellectual property law—including extensive in-house-counsel work—Chuck Moore brings proactive counseling and in-depth technical knowledge to his wide-ranging clients in a variety of matters and technologies. 

    He boasts significant know-how with intellectual property issues relating to electronics, semi-conductors, integrated circuits and associated manufacturing apparatus and methods, computer hardware and software, telecommunications, Internet-related inventions, business methods and electromechanical systems and devices.

    Further, he has extensive experience managing procurement and enforcement of intellectual property rights.  He oversaw the Intellectual Property Rights Department for Ericsson Inc. in Research Triangle Park, including managing a staff of 16 attorneys and paralegals.  He also formerly served as Patent Counsel for the Manufacturing Division, Quality Technology Department and Marine and Industrial Engine Division of General Electric Aircraft Engines in Cincinnati, Ohio, and served as Patent Attorney for the Electronics Research Lab at the GE Corporate Research and Development Center in Schenectady, New York.

    Recent cases include his assisting a client and its international affiliate in acquiring a state-of-the-art aerospace welding processes and technology business, successfully dealing with patent negotiations, trade secret and technology license agreements, due diligence investigations, third-party license agreements and other complex intellectual property aspects of the acquisition.
