John W. Rabb, Jr.
John Rabb is Senior Counsel and a member of the South Carolina Bar. Mr. Rabb brings to the firm a broad base of legal experience acquired through a distinguished law career and practice spanning more than two decades.
A former law clerk to the Speaker of the South Carolina House of Representatives and the House Judiciary Committee, Mr. Rabb has argued cases before the South Carolina Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. He has represented various corporate interests related to regulatory and legislative issues before state administrative boards and agencies.
Mr. Rabb has made frequent appearances before the South Carolina Workers Compensation Commission and in state circuit courts on behalf of employers, self insured and insurance carriers. He has served as General Counsel for trade associations and advised business and industry on employment, insurance, and worker compensation matters. Mr. Rabb has appeared as a featured speaker on risk management issues at numerous employer-sponsored events.
His experience in the practice of government and regulatory law includes evaluations and due diligence reviews of government contracts involved in acquisitions, purchases and mergers.
Mr. Rabb is a graduate of Wofford College, receiving degrees in history and government. He received his J.D. from the University of South Carolina in 1983.
