    Brian Drozd concentrates his practice in intellectual property with a focus on patent prosecution. Mr. Drozd is registered before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and has significant patent experience in the drafting and prosecution of domestic and international patent applications for many Fortune 500 and other top companies, including IBM, Sony-Ericsson, Newell Rubbermaid and Bank of America. His practice also includes patent invalidty and infringement investigations, trademark procurement and prosecution, transactional matters and intellectual property litigation.

    Mr. Drozd’s areas of technical specialty include electrical engineering, electromagnetics, computer engineering, software, information technology, communications technology as well as mechanical arts and business methods.

    Prior to UNC law school, Mr. Drozd worked as a electrical engineering research assistant at Duke University, specializing in electromagnetic field matter, an electrical engineer at a start-up company in Research Triangle Park, NC, and a patent agent at a patent law firm.
