Michael S. Coblin
Michael works closely with clients on legislative, regulatory, and policy matters in a variety of areas including, energy, business, manufacturing, and the environment.
Prior to joining Moore & Van Allen, Mr. Coblin served with the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps at Fort Lewis, Washington. He has significant federal litigation experience, serving as lead prosecutor in an extremely busy jurisdiction. As a trial counsel and administrative law attorney, Mr. Coblin has experience working with federal, state, and local government officials to develop policies for parties with diverse interests, which facilitate cooperation, expedite action, and comply with existing law and regulation. He has advised senior officials on highly sensitive matters including public affairs and high priority internal investigations. Mr. Coblin's negotiation experience includes working on behalf of hundreds of individual military clients to achieve favorable results in their personal legal matters without resorting to litigation.
