Kate is a member of Moore & Van Allen’s Intellectual Property team. Her litigation practice primarily involves copyright, trademark, trade secret, and patent matters as well as other complex business disputes for a variety of clients. Kate has experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state court and before specialized tribunals such as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board of the United States Patent and Trademark Office and the National Arbitration Forum.

Kate graduated cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review.  At the same time, she earned her Master of Public Health degree in Health Management and Policy from the University of Michigan School of Public Health.  Kate graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina.
