Employment & Labor Practice

Benjamin Fryer's practice focuses on employment law and general litigation. Mr. Fryer has experience in a broad range of employment and labor matters, including:

  • State and Federal wage and hour issues
  • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
  • The Americans with Disabilities Act
  • The Age Discrimination in Employment Act
  • The Family and Medical Leave Act
  • The National Labor Relations Act
  • Contractual and tort issues
  • Fair Credit Reporting Act
  • Employment policies and handbooks
  • Non-compete agreements, trade secrets and restrictive covenants

Mr. Fryer has practiced before state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitrators, including cases involving federal wage and hour audits before the U.S. Department of Labor and unfair labor practice charges before the National Relations Board.  Additionally, Mr. Fryer has been responsible for drafting numerous position statements to the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, as well as various appellate briefs for the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals.  He has also participated in colletive bargaining negotiations and opposition for union organization campaigns.

As a noted speaker, Mr. Fryer has presented at various legal and human resources sessions and has acted in a training and counseling role for many clients on employment and labor issues.
