Nick Russell concentrates his practice in intellectual property with a focus on patent preparation, prosecution, patent portfolio management, and patent investigations, such as freedom-to-operate, non-infringement, and invalidity investigations.

Overview

Nick has extensive experience providing patent preparation and prosecution in computer and network science technologies such as neural networks, network analysis and maintenance, algorithmic processing, data processing and management, payment networks, payment processing, authentication methods, cyber security, blockchain technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, wearable device technology, and mobile device technology.

Nick brings his research experience in the development, progression, and treatment of hormone dependent cancers to provide patent portfolio guidance in various biological and chemical arts.

Before joining the firm, Nick worked for a University’s Office of Research and Sponsored Programs developing technology commercialization for the University, specifically patent procurement and licensing.

Nick graduated from Marquette University Law School where he served as president of the Intellectual Property Law Association, as an editor on the Intellectual Property Law Review, and as a law clerk for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court civil division. He completed a Master of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame and a research followship at Princeton University.
