Weindruch Publishes Legal Considerations of Big Data

Charlotte Intellectual Property Associate Emmett Weindruch was published in the September 20 issue of the Charlotte Business Journal.  Weindruch’s article, “Big Data brings privacy, security concerns,” overviews the legal considerations surrounding Big Data, and provides best practices for businesses to keep in mind, particularly now that FTC Chairwoman Edith Ramirez has stated they foresee the FTC playing a large role in Big Data regulation.

“The central consideration is how to balance its benefits with regulations that require protecting individuals’ privacy and data security,” Weindruch wrote.
