Lowe’s Companies, Inc. Chairman, President and CEO Robert A. Niblock was the keynote speaker.

Browning, founder and managing director of Peter Browning Partners; Bob McCoy, retired Wachovia Corporation vice chairman; and Joe Marley, head of Global Risk Management in the Mid Atlantic U.S. for Marsh.

Danny Johnson served as a panelist on the "Emerging Executive Compensation Issues" panel, which was moderated by Mark Rosen, managing director at Pearl Meyer & Partners. His co-panelists included Charles W. Federico, chairman of the compensation committees of Mako Surgical and BioMimetic Therapeutics and chairman of the board of SRI Surgical; and Dr. Victoria F. Haynes, retired president and CEO of RTI International.

Sponsors included Ernst & Young, Marsh, Pearl Meyer & Partners, and Peter Browning Partners, to execute the event. Continuing education credits were provided to eligible attendees. The second annual Carolinas Directors Exchange event for CFOs and GCs will take place on March 19, 2013.
