Members Participate in Semi-Annual Carolinas Directors Exchange

March 19, 2013

Charlotte Corporate Members Mike Delaney and James Wyche took part in the Carolinas Directors Exchange event for CFOs and GCs, Governance Issues Facing Boards.  The event was held on Tuesday, March 19 at Quail Hollow Country Club.

DeLaney served as moderator for the first panel discussion, “Governance Challenges and Concerns.”  Panelists included Peter Browning, founder and managing director of Peter Browning Partners; Bob McCoy, retired Wachovia Corporation vice chairman; and Joe Micali, retired Michelin North American chairman and president.  Wyche and DeLaney were part of an afternoon panel that also included Browning, entitled “Proxy Season Hot Topics.”  Synder’s-Lance CEO David Singer served as the keynote speaker.

The event allowed CFOs and GCs from across the Carolinas to come together to discuss current issues and to hear from experts on “top of mind” issues that are of interest to public companies.  Moore & Van Allen, Peter Browning Partners, Pearl Meyer & Partners, Marsh and Ernst & Young served as event sponsors.  Continuing education credits were provided to eligible attendees.

The next Carolinas Directors Exchange event for Directors will take place on September 24, 2013.
