Lathrop Moderator at 2019 NC Transportation Summit

January 2019

How is NC going to fund over $50B in needed Transportation Infrastructure, and maintain what we already have? Given North Carolina’s projected  growth of 3 million people by the year 2040, transportation and infrastructure is key to economic opportunity statewide. Charlotte Litigation Member Tony Lathrop facilitated the conversation at the 2019 NC Transportation Summit.

As a member of the N.C. Board of Transportation, Lathrop also chairs the finance committee as an at-large member. Lathrop served as a moderator for the opening session of the event Preparing for a Change Funding Landscape”, as well as Creative Funding Solutions for CommunitiesThe inaugural  event was held in early January in Raleigh.

The event hosted over 500 attendees from across North Carolina including policy makers, transportation and industry experts, and representatives from city/county governments. The Transportation Summit also presented the opportunity for exhibitors to demonstrate and display cutting-edge technologies, advances in engineering, as well as services in multiple disciplines.
