DeLaney, Johnson & Rust Represent MVA at Carolinas Directors Exchange

Charlotte Corporate Members Mike DeLaney and Robert Rust, along with Employee Benefits and Compensation Member Danny Johnson, were all key participants in the inaugural Carolinas Directors Exchange event. The event, which took place on September 13 at the Quail Hollow Country Club, engaged board members from across the region for networking and discussion on current/emerging relevant topics. Marshall Larsen, Goodrich Corporation Chairman and CEO, was the keynote speaker.  

DeLaney served as the moderator of the Governance Challenges and Concerns panel. The panelists included Dr. Pamela Davies, President of Queens University; Mike Kennedy, Ernst & Young’s Carolinas Assurance practice leader; and Bill McCanless, director of Kewaunee Scientific Corporation and Audit Committee Chairman.  

Johnson served as a panelist on the Emerging Executive Compensation Issues panel. His co-panelists included David L. Hauser, director of Enpro Industries, and Douglas R. Lebda, Chairman and CEO of Rust served as a panelist on the Directors and Officers Liability Insurance Update panel alongside Lou Ann Layton, managing director and U.S. FINPRO Practice Leader at Marsh.

The day began with a roundtable session, and concluded with group Q&A and a reception.
