McGrath Comments on EPA Cooling Water Plan
Law360February 2014
Charlotte Environmental and Litigation Member Peter McGrath was quoted in Law360’s article "EPA Cooling Water Plan Runs Afoul of Green Groups," which published on February 19. The piece details the federal rule for power plant water intake that is about to be finalized after years of delay. The proposed rule does not ease the concerns of a number of environmental and wildlife advocacy groups.
“'Any further challenges are much more likely to come from environmental groups calling for more stringent regulations,’ McGrath said. ‘The industry feels like they can live with this rule, even if it is going to cost them more money.’”
