Charlotte Environmental Member Peter McGrath was quoted in Law360 on May 20.  The article, “EPA’s Cooling Water Rule Invites Industry-Enviro Clashes,” discusses the criticism that the EPA’s “long-delayed” cooling water intake regulation has drawn from environmental organizations.

“The EPA seemed to, in all aspects, draw back from the most stringent controls," McGrath told Law360.  “There are reasons to do that.  Theoretically, the operators know best how to operate these facilities.  But the EPA has congressional standards to meet here.”
