Founded in 1950 by Robert Lassiter, Jr., James O. Moore, and William K. Van Allen, Moore & Van Allen has grown from its roots in uptown Charlotte into the largest law firm in North Carolina and one of the region’s most respected practices. Throughout our 75-year history, we have remained true to our core values of respect, excellence, inclusion, empowerment, leadership, and togetherness—principles that continue to guide our work and culture today.
