Overview
Ricky prepares and prosecutes U.S. and foreign patent applications in various technologies, including medical devices, mechanical devices, electrical devices, and computer software. In addition to patent prosecution, Ricky also works in IP diligence for clients in prospective acquisitions, mergers, and other business transactions.
Ricky received a B.S., magna cum laude, in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics from North Carolina State University. Ricky received his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, where he served as the President of the Carolina Intellectual Property Legal Association and an Articles Editor for the North Carolina Journal of Law & Technology. Ricky is admitted to practice in North Carolina and before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Ricky was honored with the Patent Pro Bono Achievement Certificate by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in 2019 and 2020, as well as being honored as a North Carolina Bono Honor Society member in 2019 and 2020.
