Overview
As an associate in Moore & Van Allen’s Financial Services group, Fred represents a variety of financial institutions, including commercial banks and direct lenders serving as agent banks and lenders, in connection with the structuring and documenting of secured and unsecured lending transactions. Fred also represents corporate borrowers and private equity clients in connection with financing transactions. He has experience with acquisition financing, real estate financing and asset-based lending.
Representative Experience
- Represented the agent in connection with the negotiation and documentation of credit facilities for an American agribusiness used to refinance existing indebtedness and construct new domestic agricultural facilities. The financing consisted of both term and revolving facilities of approximately $95 million
- Represented private equity client in connection with an acquisition financing. Guided the over $55 million financing to a successful close concurrent with the acquisition of an engineering and technology company
- Represented private equity client in connection with financing for multiple acquisitions by public relations company. Assisted with the negotiation and documentation for the $30 million credit facilities, as well as the documentation related to subsequent acquisitions
