John Hofland is a director of Public Affairs providing strategic communications counsel to clients. He has more than fifteen years of experience in developing and executing communication strategies and working with the media.

Overview

John advises clients on media relations and crisis communications, as well as writing speeches, op-eds, congressional testimony, ad copy and news releases. Op-eds he has written for clients have appeared in the Wall Street Journal and Politico. He also focuses on energy, international trade and manufacturing policy for clients.

Prior to joining the firm, John was communications manager for Flint Hills Resources, a refining and chemicals company, where he was responsible for corporate communications and media relations in the Upper Midwest. John has also taught public speaking at the University of Maryland and worked for the Commission on Presidential Debates. He has an M.A. in Communications from the University of Maryland.
