Peter Reinsel is an associate in the firm’s Charlotte office. Mr. Reinsel’s practice focuses on advising clients on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions.  He has experience involving the acquisition, financing, development, and sale of retail, office, medical, warehouse, mixed-use, multi-family, and hotel real estate matters. A substantial portion of Mr. Reinsel’s practice focuses on representing both landlords and tenants in preparing and negotiating leases for retail, office, warehouse, solar, and industrial properties as well as ground leases and build-to-suit agreements.  Mr. Reinsel also regularly advises clients on corporate law matters related to real estate transactions.

Additionally, Mr. Reinsel has experience providing counsel on structuring and negotiation of commercial and financial contracts for complex real estate transactions, including Public-Private Agreements, Design-Build Contracts, Loan Agreements, Bond Purchase Agreements, and Collateral Agency Agreements; has performed complex real estate financial and legal analysis and advised on deal-structuring approaches to provide creative strategies that maximize bid and project value; and coordinated with multiple team member organizations for the submittal of technical and financial proposals on public-private partnership (P3) and design-build-finance (DBF) infrastructure projects.

After law school Mr. Reinsel was a development manager and legal counsel for the infrastructure development team of a large construction firm in Chicago, where he was a key member in pursuing long-term equity investments in large-scale P3 and DBF infrastructure and real estate projects across North America.

Prior to joining Moore & Van Allen, Mr. Reinsel was a real estate associate for a global law firm in Charlotte, North Carolina.
