As of May 25, 2006, USCIS approved 7,718 H-1B beneficiaries (not holding a U.S. Advanced Degree) with an additional 41,316 applications pending, for a total of 49,034 applications either granted or pending.

USCIS has also approved 1,672 H-1B beneficiaries (U.S. Advanced Degree holders) with 4,158 applications pending, for a total of 5,830 applications either granted or pending.

The respective caps are 58,200 for H-1B visas (with an additional 6,800 set aside for Chile and Singapore nationals until October 1, 2006) and 20,000 for H-1B Advanced Degree visas.

We highly recommend you immediately contact our office should you require an H-1B visa for any prospective or current employees.
