Moore, opened offices in uptown Charlotte intentionally seeking a business and banking practice at a time when other firms pursued a more general practice model. By 1955, William (Bill) K. Van Allen joined renaming to Lassiter, Moore & Van Allen, and becoming one of the largest firms in Charlotte.
