McDowell, who co-leads the firm’s White Collar, Regulatory Defense & Investigations and Civil Rights & Racial Equity Assessments, is recognized nationally for her leadership in governmental and internal investigations, conduct risk management, and public-facing racial equity assessments. For more than 25 years, she has brought candor, pragmatism, and diligence to her work, earning a reputation as a trusted advisor in complex, high-stakes matters. The Forbes recognition adds to a series of recent honors highlighting McDowell’s leadership in investigations and her pioneering efforts to establish the firm’s equity assessments practice — which guides organizations through sensitive challenges within their business models. Over the past year alone, she has also been recognized by the Financial Times, Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, and other leading legal and business publications.
