Immigration Attorney Amanda Franklin recently served as both presenter and moderator for a CLE program hosted by the Mecklenburg Bar Association Business Law, Corporate Counsel, Immigration & Nationality, Labor & Employment, and White-Collar Crime/Government Investigations Sections. The program, held at Dilworth Neighborhood Grille, was approved for 2.0 General credit hours in North Carolina and South Carolina (in-person credit).

Using the recent Hyundai enforcement action as a case study, the CLE examined the cascading legal and business consequences of government investigations, including immigration compliance considerations, labor and employment impacts, reputational and contractual risks, and insights from the enforcement perspective. Amanda joined fellow panelists in providing practical guidance to help attorneys and business leaders prepare for and respond to high-risk situations.
