Tom Mitchell Participates in Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Advisory Council Panel on Public Safety
Moore & Van Allen Chair and Managing Partner Tom Mitchell recently moderated a panel on public safety at the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance Advisory Council meeting. Participants on the panel included Liz Clasen-Kelly, CEO of Roof Above, Shawn Heath, Deputy City Manager, City of Charlotte, Spencer B. Merriweather III, Mecklenburg County District Attorney and Chief Estella D. Patterson, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.
The discussion brought together leaders from government, law enforcement, and the nonprofit and private sectors to share perspectives on public safety in communities throughout the Charlotte region and some of the initiatives and partnerships that have led to impactful, positive change in the last year. Panelists emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and a broad, regional approach to addressing these issues.
Mitchell’s participation reflects Moore & Van Allen’s ongoing engagement with local and state leaders on matters affecting both the business community and the communities it serves.
