MVA Bankruptcy & Financial Restructuring Member Hillary Crabtree served as a co-chair for the 43rd Annual Bankruptcy Institute live webcast which was held on December 10. Additionally, Hillary joined Michael L. Martinez of Grier Wright Martinez PA, to provide the welcome and opening remarks.
This webcast focused on emerging concerns facing North Carolina bankruptcy practitioners, including remote presentations, e-signatures, CARES Act issues, healthcare bankruptcies, and overall operation of a bankruptcy debtor practice. Attendees received the most current information on the new receivership statutes enacted by the North Carolina General Assembly and how Subchapter V cases have developed. Panelists also highlighted litigation skills with a practical presentation on expert witness depositions and cross-examination.
