MVA Hosts CLE on AI Governance Programs
Moore & Van Allen (MVA) attorneys from our AI and Emerging Technologies Group, Karin McGinnis and Anup Iyer, hosted the latest installment of its seminar series on July 10 with “Establishing AI Governance Programs: Legal and Organizational Considerations.” The session examined how organizations can design and implement internal AI governance programs that address evolving regulatory requirements and operational risks.
McGinnis and Iyer provided an overview of recent legal and regulatory developments—including the EU AI Act, emerging U.S. state laws, and international initiatives—and highlighted key governance considerations such as risk assessment, oversight structures, and documentation practices. Attendees gained practical strategies for aligning governance frameworks with both compliance obligations and business objectives.
