Tanisha Palvia Named to Charlotte Business Journal’s 2026 Women in Business Awards
Attorney Tanisha Palvia, a member of Moore & Van Allen’s White Collar, Regulatory Defense & Investigations and Litigation practices, has been selected for the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2026 Women in Business Awards. The annual program recognizes 25 women whose professional accomplishments, leadership, and community engagement are making a meaningful impact in the Charlotte region.
Drawing on her experience as a former prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Palvia advises individuals and organizations facing criminal prosecutions, government enforcement actions, and complex civil litigation. She also conducts internal investigations involving sensitive regulatory, compliance, and conduct-management issues. Over the past year, she has worked closely with her colleagues to secure highly favorable outcomes in major federal investigations, helping clients navigate matters involving substantial risk and complex enforcement considerations. Palvia is a recognized thought leader on white collar and regulatory enforcement issues, and her analysis of emerging enforcement trends has been frequently published in leading legal outlets.
Palvia’s leadership extends beyond her legal practice. In 2024, she founded the South Asian Bar Association of North Carolina and serves as its inaugural president. Under her leadership, SABA North Carolina has grown into a statewide professional community of more than 100 members, offering programming, mentorship, and cultural engagement. She also holds a leadership role with the Women’s White Collar Defense Association’s North Carolina chapter, supporting the advancement of women in the field.
Her commitment to public service is reflected in her extensive pro bono work, including representation of indigent defendants, incarcerated individuals facing inadequate medical care or abuse, and survivors of human trafficking. Her advocacy has led to impactful outcomes, including the grant of a rare compassionate release for an individual denied essential medical treatment.
The firm congratulates Tanisha Palvia on this well-deserved recognition and is proud to celebrate her leadership, professional excellence, and service to the community.
