Charlotte senior commercial and technology transactions counsel Todd Taylor was published in Law360 on February 7. His article, “Purging Slavery From Calif.’s Supply Chain,” addresses the California Transparency in Supply Chain Act, which took effect on January 1, 2012. The act will require companies to disclose information on their human trafficking and slavery supply chain policies. 

“Despite its name, the law is quite likely to impact the non-California, worldwide operations of many companies. Yet, the act has attached little notice outside the realm of advocacy groups and lawyers with e-commerce, technology or supply chain practices,” Taylor states.
