Overview
Elyse Desmarais serves as the firm’s Director of Strategic Pricing, spearheading the firm’s pricing strategy to ensure value for firm clients. Elyse collaborates with clients, attorneys, and professional departments to create innovative alternate fee arrangements (AFA) tailored to clients’ specific needs. Using data-driven models and informed client experience, Elyse also drives the firm’s legal project management efforts and the annual hourly rate setting process.
With a relatable style, Elyse works with clients to understand pricing sensitivities and budgetary boundaries so that the firm may deliver tailored pricing solutions and service delivery models while providing excellent legal advice.
With a background in legal marketing and business development, Elyse brings deep experience and understanding of the “voice-of-the-client” perspective to her role. Through this experience, she developed a strong appreciation for the positive benefits of long-term client relationships, which informs her thoughtful approach to creating value for both the firm and its clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Elyse helped build pricing and legal project management functions at an AmLaw 200 firm and was most recently a member of the pricing team for an AmLaw 50 firm.
