Emily Carney is an associate in Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation group. Emily brings her experience as a law clerk for a federal magistrate judge at the U.S. District Court for the Western District of North Carolina to creatively think through complex legal issues.

Overview

Emily focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, white-collar criminal defense, and regulatory and compliance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily clerked for United States Magistrate Judge David C. Keesler in the Western District of North Carolina. Having served in that role for over three and a half years, Emily brings strong legal writing and unique perspective to her practice.

Emily received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and her B.A. from Vanderbilt University.
