Overview
Gianna Callisto is an associate in Moore & Van Allen’s Environmental Practice Group. Her work covers a broad array of environmental legal issues including regulatory enforcement and compliance, permitting, environmental due diligence, and Brownfields redevelopment. She draws upon her broad public sector experience in representing the regulated community and working with the regulator community through her work at the firm.
In law school, Gianna served as an associate on the George Washington Journal of Energy and Environmental Law, and as a member of the George Washington University Law School Mock Trial Board. She worked for the Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division and the Southern Environmental Law Center, and as a law clerk to Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal.
Prior to attending law school and joining the firm, Gianna worked as an environmental education consultant for environmental nonprofits in San Francisco, California.
Gianna earned B.A.’s in Political Science and Environmental Studies with honors from the University of Pittsburgh, and her J.D. from the George Washington University Law School.
