Overview
Sydney focuses primarily on patent application preparation, patent prosecution, and transactional matters related to intellectual property. She has particular experience in both domestic and international patent prosecution, IP licensing, and diligence.
Sydney holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Auburn University and a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School. While at Vanderbilt, Sydney served as a development editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and earned a certificate for extensive coursework in business law. She also worked with Vanderbilt’s Turner Family Community Enterprise Clinic to assist a start-up company in navigating legal issues related to entity formation, governance, and software licensing. While earning her engineering degree, Sydney worked for Auburn University’s Office of Technology Advancement and Commercialization where she conducted prior art searches and identified potential licensing partners for intellectual property owned by the university.
