Moore & Van Allen (MVA) continues to expand its Entertainment Finance practice, strengthening the firm's film and television finance capabilities and growing its presence in Atlanta, one of the nation's leading production markets. The growth follows MVA's announcement earlier this year of its Atlanta office, the firm's first office outside the Carolinas.

Building on the firm’s entertainment finance platform and the work of Brett Moskowitz and Terry Dugan, the firm continues to invest in serving financial institutions, investors, production companies, and other participants across the entertainment industry. Most recently, Michael Price joined the Atlanta office, bringing a combination of legal, financial, and firsthand film and television production experience.

"Film and TV finance is as much lore as it is law, with complex capital structures and intercreditor relationships involving co-financiers, distributors, completion bonding companies, and the Hollywood guilds," said Terry Dugan. "Very few firms know how to do this work at the size and complexity we see in our typical syndicated financings. Michael's knowledge of this space adds significant bench depth to our team."

Before entering private practice, Michael spent nearly a decade in the entertainment industry, working in scripted and unscripted production and serving as Director of Production Tax Incentives at Georgia Production Finance, where he helped close more than $20 million in Georgia film tax credit transfers. Today, he advises lenders, capital providers, production companies, and financiers on entertainment-related financing transactions.

"Our goal is to continue building one of the country's premier entertainment finance practices," said Brett Moskowitz. "What distinguishes MVA is the breadth of our platform. Through the work of Terry Dugan and our broader entertainment finance team, we have built significant capabilities across music finance and M&A, and film and television finance. Few firms offer meaningful depth in both sectors. Michael Price's arrival further strengthens those capabilities and enhances our ability to serve clients on increasingly complex transactions."

MVA's Entertainment Finance team advises clients on music rights financings, film and television library and production financings, tax credit financings, private credit structures, securitizations, and other complex transactions, drawing on the firm's broader strengths in financial services, corporate law, tax, intellectual property, restructuring, and litigation.

Michael earned his J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law, where he received a Certificate in Entertainment, Sports and Media Law, and his B.B.A. in Finance, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University.
