Michael advises on entertainment-related financing transactions bringing a combination of legal, financial, and production experience — including years in scripted and unscripted production and time at a major talent agency. His work includes advising on production loans, tax credit financings, facilities secured by distribution and licensing receivables, and the corporate and transactional matters that surround them.

Representative Experience

Team member experience prior to joining Moore & Van Allen

• Acted as outside counsel to film, television, and live-broadcast and streaming production companies, in day-to-day operations and matters including SAG-AFTRA compliance and disputes.
• Facilitated the sale and transfer of tens of millions of Georgia film tax credits.
• Provided production legal and structured equity investments in alternative media and independent film projects
• Advised on corporate acquisitions, and complex multi-party financings, including a $200M Reg D private placement.
• Represented on-screen talent and creators in reality television productions for major streaming platforms and networks.
