Lathrop reappointed to Department of Transportation Board

Charlotte Litigation Member Tony Lathrop was reappointed to the Department of Transportation Board by Governor Roy Cooper as of August 12. He will serve a four-year term.

Lathrop serves as a representative of the tenth transportation division. Lathrop is a partner with the law firm of Moore & Van Allen PLLC in Charlotte, specializing in commercial litigation, zoning, land use, and dispute resolution. He was a member of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Planning Commission and chaired the Commission for almost three years, from 2014 to 2017. Lathrop was also formerly a trustee of the NC Clean Water Management Trust Fund and currently sits on the Charlotte Advisory Board of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation.

The Transportation Board represents statewide transportation needs and oversees the North Carolina Highway Trust Fund, an account created by the North Carolina General Assembly to fund new road construction efforts. To view the complete list of board members, please click here.
