Tiffany Payne joins Moore & Van Allen’s Litigation group in Charleston

Moore & Van Allen PLLC (MVA) is pleased to announce the arrival of Tiffany E. Payne as counsel in the Litigation Group, based in the firm’s Charleston office.

Payne regularly represents clients facing white-collar criminal prosecution, enforcement, and regulatory matters, as well as high-stakes business litigation. Her investigations practice includes the representation of individuals, financial institutions, accounting firms, self-regulatory organizations, and publicly traded companies in inquiries brought by the Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. Payne has managed and coordinated internal reviews and provided regulatory advice to clients seeking to manage their potential exposures. In addition, she is committed to pro bono work related to reproductive rights, criminal justice reform, and immigration.

Prior to joining the firm, Payne was counsel in the New York and Washington, D.C. offices of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP and an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Goodwin Procter LLP.

Payne earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her J.D. from the George Washington University School of Law.
