MVA Public Affairs Team highlighted in recent Charlotte Optimist article

Moore & Van Allen Managing Director of Public Affairs Walter Price, Director of Public Affairs Towers Mingledorff, and Public Affairs Counsel Canaan Huie were highlighted for their leadership to facilitate passage of the transportation bill by the NC General Assembly in the recent The Charlotte Optimist article, “How a blue city learned to talk to its red state legislature again”. MVA’s Public Affairs team spent more than a year engaging stakeholders and gaining necessary support for a referendum to raise the sales tax by a penny. The money, about $20 billion over 30 years, plus an estimated $5 billion in matching federal funds, would go toward rail, roads, buses, and microtransit.
