Manning Unger Named to SC Biz News Most Influential Leaders List
Moore & Van Allen (MVA) is pleased to announce that SC Biz News has selected Member H. Manning Unger as a 2025 Most Influential Leaders honoree.
The Most Influential Leaders recognition program honors and celebrates talented business and nonprofit leaders across South Carolina. Honorees are selected based on their leadership skills, integrity, values, vision, commitment to excellence, company performance, and community service. The 23 winners selected for this year’s list will be honored on Sept. 15 at a celebration at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center and profiled in a special section that will be inserted into the Oct. 13 issue of the Columbia Regional Business Report and the Oct. 20 issues of Charleston Regional Business Journal and GSA Business Report.
Unger co-leads MVA’s Charleston office and practices on the firm’s Commercial Real Estate and Mergers & Acquisitions teams. Equipped with an MBA and a law degree, Unger has a passion for helping his clients with business deals and diving into the details to better advise them. In addition to his office leadership, his work consists of providing advice structuring, negotiating, documenting, and closing deals, as well as acting as a counselor on various corporate governance matters.
Unger actively mentors MVA associates and aspiring lawyers. He is a long-time member of the firm’s Management Committee and an active member of the University of Virginia Alumni Association and First Scots Presbyterian Church in Charleston. He also previously served with the Charleston Regional Development Alliance and Exchange Club of Metropolitan Charleston, which supports Windwood Family Services.
“The Most Influential Leaders are dynamic leaders who are at the pinnacle of their careers, working to improve our lives, our state, and our future. They are visionary, respected, and actively engaged in the community. We are pleased to honor these outstanding leaders in South Carolina,” said SC Biz News Executive Editor Jason Thomas.
