Moore & Van Allen (MVA) is proud to guide First Solar, Inc., as the company expands its South Carolina presence with a new $330 million solar panel production facility in Cherokee County.  The Gaffney facility is slated to begin operations in the second half of 2026 and is expected to create more than 600 new jobs, strengthening the region’s clean energy sector and delivering meaningful economic and environmental impact.

MVA’s Economic Development & Incentives Member Beth Buckner and Director of Economic Development Daniel Young partnered with Global Location Strategies to provide incentives and strategic guidance that helped advance this significant investment. MVA is honored to support initiatives that promote sustainable growth, innovation, and economic opportunity across South Carolina.
